I usually live in Jacksonville, Florida, but I have a small place in Tallahassee because of my family’s connection to Florida State University. While I was in Tallahassee, I got a pain in my tooth and my gums and went to my Tallahassee dentist, Dr. Hartley. He’s amazing. He was pretty sure I was gonna have to have a tooth pulled, and an implant put in so he sent me to Periodontal Associates Of North Florida. Dr. Oberfeld and staff were amazing. I did have to have my tooth extracted, it was the first time I had ever been offered medication other than Novacaine, their equipment was top of the line, and I felt so comfortable, even though I had never been to them before. I will be back in January for the implant, and I will feel very confident that they will do an excellent job. By the way, their office is state of the art.🙌

Everyone, from receptionist to the Doctor, are extremely cheerful and approachable with all your questions. The offices are and rooms are very clean and well equipped. They have made a very nervous patient feel comfortable and confident. Please come here for wonderful care

No one wants to have to go to a periodontist. If you need them they BEST! Everyone is very pleasant and professional. They answered all of my questions and explained everything. Dr. Colon is fantastic. He is kind, patient, and willing to take the time to explain so that I would understand. I highly recommend Periodontal Associates of North Florida.

I've been a patient at Periodontal Associates of North Florida for nearly a decade after needing an emergency periodontal procedure, and I've continued trusting them with my routine dental cleanings ever since. From the moment you walk in, the office is warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed to make patients feel comfortable. I especially appreciate the little touches, like the warm blankets, refreshing towelettes, and post-cleaning supplies-they truly go above and beyond. What sets this practice apart, however, is the exceptional level of professionalism and compassionate care from everyone on the team. From the front office staff and my hygienists to Dr. Dozier, now retired, to Dr. Colon and now Dr. Overfelt, I've consistently received outstanding care. Most recently, I experienced a painful emergency when a salivary gland stone blocked one of my ducts. I called the office at 7:00 a.m., and they worked me into the schedule that same day. Dr. Overfelt quickly diagnosed the problem, removed the stone, and I felt immediate relief. Doctor Colon is the absolute best!! I have a long journey to go for my implants but he is extremely efficient in explaining everything so that I can understand. ➡️He is very kind and considerate with his patients. The cleanliness of this entire office is perfect pristine condition. They literally keep this entire area clean from every aspect coming from the waiting room all the way back to their surgery area. I absolutely love how they wear ear piece to communicate with each other in a very efficient and professional manner. You can tell everybody loves their job! Dr. Colon and his team are absolutely phenomenal in both their service and care. I went to see Dr. Colon for the first time today per a referral from my primary dentist and naturally I was slightly nervous going into the appointment. Dr. Colon was very thorough and spoke to me transparently, kindly, with care, and in a way that I could easily understand what was happening with my teeth & gums. He spoke in lamens terms and in a manner that was not demeaning to me in any way as he explained the process. Throughout the entirety of the appointment I was treated as though the facility was structured and designed just for me and it I left feeling very confident that I am in excellent hands as it relates to my periodontal care. Dr. Guzman is the best. I literally just got done with a crown lengthening and call my best friend to recommend her. They’ve always taken real good of me from the first time I started coming there over two years ago until now. Nothings change. The staff is amazing. You would think they’ve went through customer care training. You guys are truly the standard. Much love to all the staff at Periodontal Associates.

I've been coming here a year now and so glad i did. They are life savers, finally have someone that cares not only about your teeth, but your well being. The staff are always fantastic and super nice. Dr Colon is fantastic, caring. I appreciate everything they have done to get my mouth healthy again. I was worried on my first visit, but everyone was very knowledgeable and kind. The procedure was i went in relaxed knowing what to expect. The warm blankets are great since it's always cold to keep germs away. Everything is super clean.
